Once upon a time a teenager packed his 2 luggage from Singapore to USA and started the journey with mixed excitement, columns of tears and lots of uncertainty.
One day, 5 years later, he woke up in Army uniform in a prone position pointing his M16 towards the enemy. Everyday was a challenge since he returned from USA in Singapore adjusting to a home he left behind to pursue a degree only to return to a strict regiment of daily drills and marching.
His dream of becoming a business owner became realistically difficult to achieve when he ran into trouble with the banks over his credit cards overdues. A 9–5 job in a bank with a life-style to maintain didn’t pay the bills.
And because of that he transformed into an unhappy adult still having to cope with the concoction of western ideology and eastern traditions. The struggle continued while he was an Entrepreneur in a 3rd world country and for the next 25 years because of the 3rd world syndrome the risks and uncertainties, finally, one day it became overwhelmingly difficult for him to grasp with suffering that he turned to spiritual help became a Monk learned Vipassana Meditation from Chan Myeik Sayadaw and everyday since then is another “big picture”.
